Programme

Waste to Wealth

Transforming waste into resources, products and livelihoods.

About the programme

What this programme is about

The Waste to Wealth Programme promotes environmental stewardship by helping communities transform organic, plastic and other recoverable waste into useful products and economic opportunities. It challenges the idea that every discarded material has reached the end of its useful life.

Through education, practical demonstrations and enterprise development, EWAH NEXUS encourages communities to reduce waste, separate valuable materials and apply safe methods of reuse, recycling, composting and recovery.

What we do

Our areas of action

Waste awareness and separation

Schools, households and community groups learn how poor waste management affects water, soil, health and public spaces, and how materials can be separated at source.

Organic waste recovery

Food and agricultural residues can be transformed through composting, organic fertiliser production and appropriate biogas applications.

Recycling and creative reuse

Plastic and other recoverable materials are explored through recycling, upcycling, eco-product development and practical community demonstrations.

Green enterprise development

Women and youth are supported to identify viable products and services that create income while responding to local environmental challenges.

Our approach

How we work

The programme combines environmental education, community clean-up activities, material collection, technical demonstrations and entrepreneurship. Participants learn to identify useful waste streams, handle materials safely and develop products that respond to realistic community or market needs.

Who we serve

Who the programme is for

The programme serves schools, women and youth groups, farmers, councils, waste collectors, small businesses, community organisations and aspiring green entrepreneurs.

The impact we seek

We seek cleaner communities, reduced pollution, increased reuse and recycling, improved access to organic fertiliser and the development of green businesses that generate livelihoods from responsibly recovered materials.
