Renewable Energies
The Renewable Energies Programme promotes the adoption and practical use of clean-energy technologies that respond to the everyday needs of African communities. We work with households, schools, health facilities, farms, businesses and community organisations to improve access to reliable and affordable energy.
Our programme goes beyond installing equipment. We help communities understand how renewable energy systems work and develop the local skills required to operate, maintain and sustain them. This strengthens local ownership while creating opportunities for technical employment and green entrepreneurship.

Solar Energy Solutions
We support the assessment, design, installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems for homes, schools, health facilities, community buildings and productive activities.
Productive Uses of Renewable Energy
Clean energy is applied to water pumping, irrigation, food drying, cold storage, processing, lighting and other activities that strengthen agriculture, health and livelihoods.
Clean Cooking and Energy Efficiency
We promote cleaner cooking technologies, efficient appliances, improved lighting and practical energy-management measures that reduce costs, pollution and unnecessary consumption.
Training and Local Technical Capacity
