EWAH NEXUS (Energy–Water–Agriculture–Health Nexus) is a multidisciplinary sustainable-development organisation based in Dschang, Cameroon. We connect clean energy, water, agriculture, health, digital innovation and empowerment to create practical solutions that communities can understand, manage and sustain.

Our story
Why EWAH NEXUS exists
EWAH NEXUS was established in response to the interconnected challenges affecting communities: unreliable energy, limited water access, agricultural losses, environmental pressure, health risks, digital exclusion and inadequate technical opportunities.
We believe these challenges should not be addressed in isolation.
Our seven objectives
- Establish a sustainable ecosystem of clean energy expertise by equipping local communities, women and youths with the technical and entrepreneurial capacity to design, install and manage integrated energy solutions that ensure long-term water, food and health security.
- Promote the transition to clean energy, combatting household and environmental air pollution to significantly reduce respiratory diseases and premature deaths.
- Foster energy security in rural communities through reliable, context-specific technologies, and promote inclusive energy education through participatory decision-making.
- Empower women and youth to be at the centre of the green economy by providing leadership roles, vocational training and active participation in energy, water, agriculture and health interventions.
- Implement digitalised monitoring and evaluation systems (using IoT and AI) to ensure transparent tracking, real-time performance monitoring and continuous organisational improvement.
- Foster entrepreneurship in the agricultural value chain by integrating energy-efficient processing and preservation technologies to increase shelf-life, improve nutritional health and boost household incomes.
- Promote responsible environmental stewardship by developing waste-to-wealth programmes and renewable-powered pest management systems.
