About this subprogramme

A year-round culture of green innovation

Schools and clubs provide a year-round structure for learners to identify local environmental and energy challenges and develop practical projects. Activities align with class learning while allowing interdisciplinary teams to tackle issues from classrooms, school gardens and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Our areas of action

What we do

Five strands of practical work.

How it works

Our approach and outcomes

The aim is practical learning and confident youth leadership rather than one-off outreach. Schools appoint a coordinator, agree a regular meeting schedule, provide a modest equipment kit and adopt safe participation rules.
